OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AND
LARIMER COUNTY, COLORADO FOR THE PURPOSE OF
SHARING THE COSTS OF CONSTRUCTION OF
CERTAIN ROADS AND INTERCHANGE FACILITIES
WHEREAS, Anheuser-Busch, Inc. , (Busch) has expressed an interest in
the construction of a brewery in the Fort Collins area; and
WHEREAS, Busch has acquired an option to purchase property in Larimer
County adjacent to Interstate 25 with access to transportation facilities
at the location including Interstate 25 interchanges and frontage roads;
and
WHEREAS, the City and the County anticipate that each will construct
certain roads and interchanges of a public benefit in the area of the Busch
property; and
WHEREAS, the City has agreed with Busch that it will construct certain
roads and interchanges of a public benefit in the area of the Busch pro-
perty; and
WHEREAS, the County has recognized the income and other benefits it
will derive from the City' s construction of the roads and interchanges in
the area of the Busch property; and
WHEREAS, the County has agreed to contribute to the City's cost for
its construction of roads and interchange facilities including, but not
limited to, the improvement to City standards for surfaced roads those
portions of County Roads 9E , 50 and 52 on the perimeter of the Busch
property; and
WHEREAS, the County and City are authorized to contract with one
another to provide any function, service or facility lawfully authorized to
each of them, including the sharing of costs, the imposition of taxes, or
the incurring of debt under the provisions of §29-1-203 of the Colorado
Revised Statutes , upon the approval of their respective legislative
bodies; and
WHEREAS, the City and the County desire to set out their agreement
whereby the County will contribute to the cost of construction of the roads
and interchange facility referred to above.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT

intergovernmental agreement between the City of Fort Collins and the County
of Larimer for the purpose of sharing the cost of construction of roads and
interchange facilities, all as in accordance with that certain inter-
governmental agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part
hereof.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this
17th day of July, 1984.
