RESOLUTION 84- 90
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH
ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGY, INC. ,
FOR THE PREPARATION OF AN AIR QUALITY MONITORING
PROGRAM AND AN AIR QUALITY CONTROL PROGRAM
WHEREAS, on January 3, 1984, the Council of the City of Fort Collins
passed Resolution 84-6 providing direction to City staff and the Environ-
mental Quality Technical Advisory Committee to develop an Air Quality
Monitoring Program and an Air Quality Control Program by December, 1984;
and
WHEREAS, in March, 1984, the City' s Purchasing Department released
Request for Proposal/Qualifications (P-97) to solicit consultants to assist
in the development of an Air Quality Monitoring Program and an Air Quality
Control Program; and
WHEREAS, on May 4, 1984, City staff and EQUATAC interviewed four
consultants who responded to Proposal P-97 and selected Environmental
Research and Technology, Inc. , as the firm best suited to assist the City
in the development of an Air Quality Monitoring Program and an Air Quality
Control Program; and
WHEREAS, Environmental Research and Technology's , Inc. , proposal
is for the sum of Sixty-one Thousand Four Hundred Seventy-one Dollars
($61 ,411 ) ; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-66 of the Code of the City of Fort
Collins, no professional services agreement in excess of Twenty Thousand
Dollars ($20,000) shall be entered into until approved by the City Council
in an open Council meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Resolved by the Council of the City of Fort
Collins, that the City Manager be, and hereby is, authorized to enter into
a professional services agreement with Environmental Research and Tech-
nology, Inc. , for an Air Quality Monitoring Program and an Air Quality
Control Program, said services to be performed by Environmental Research
and Technology Inc. , for a sum not to exceed Sixty-one Thousand Four
Hundred Seventy-one Dollars ($61 ,471 ) .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City
of Fort Collins held this 5th day of June, 1984.
