OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
AN AGREEMENT FOR THE PROVISION OF
FISH AND BENTHIC BIOSURVEY IN 1984
WHEREAS, City wastewater discharge activities have had a certain
impact on the water characteristics of the Cache La Poudre River; and
WHEREAS, for some time, the City has been involved in a survey program
to determine the degree of impact that such activities have on the waters
of the Cache La Poudre River; and
WHEREAS, in recent months, new issues have surfaced which support the
continuation of said survey program, among these issues, the potential
consideration by the Colorado Department of Health of a reappraisal of the
current stream classification of the Cache La Poudre River as well as the
finalization of the City' s effluent discharge permits; and
WHEREAS, for the aforesaid reasons, the Council of the City of Fort
Collins has determined that it is in the best interest of the citizens of
the City that said survey program be continued for the calendar year
1984.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into an agreement with Dr. William L. Boyd for the continuation of a fish
and benthic biosurvey for the 1984 calendar year, in consideration of the
payment by the City of a sum not to exceed Seventeen Thousand Eight
Hundred and Minty-Nine Dollars ($17,899.00) .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this
17th day of April , A.D. 1984.
