HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-113-07/17/1984-APPOINTING TWO COUNCILMEMBERS TO SERVE ON THE OPEN SPACE CORRIDOR AD HOC COMMITTEE RESOLUTION 84-113 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS APPOINTING TWO COUNCILMEMBERS TO SERVE ON THE OPEN SPACE CORRIDOR AD HOC COMMITTEE WHEREAS, the corridor area between the Urban Growth Areas of Fort Collins and Loveland is an area of great governmental and citizen concern; and WHEREAS, the maintenance of distinct and unique community identities for both Fort Collins and Loveland is of genuine public interest; and WHEREAS, a joint governmental meeting of the Councils of the Cities of Fort Collins and Loveland and the Larimer County Commissioners has recom- mended the formation of a joint Ad Hoc Committee to be comprised of two (2) members from the City Councils of Fort Collins and Loveland, respectively, two (2) members from the Larimer County Commissioners and two (2) members from the landowners of the affected property area; and WHEREAS, the Committee is encouraged to obtain rough appraisals of the corridor area; and WHEREAS, the Committee is charged with investigating alternative development/protection possibilities; and WHEREAS, the Committee is encouraged to use respective planning staffs' expertise as necessary; and WHEREAS, time is of the essence and the Committee is directed to make its recommendations within six (6) months. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the City of Fort Collins appoints the following two (2) Councilmembers to serve as members of the Ad Hoc Committee for the Fort Collins/Loveland corridor area: Kelly Ohlson Ed Stoner Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins held this 17th day of July, A.D. 1984. `6' rk Mayor ATTEST: City Clerk
