OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A
LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH LARIMER COUNTY FOR THE
USE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY IN CONNECTION WITH THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A PUBLIC RECREATION TRAIL
WHEREAS, the City is interested in constructing a public recreation
trail called the "Foothills Trail ," which trail would be located on certain
property owned by the United States and managed by Larimer County; and
WHEREAS, Larimer County has agreed to enter into a License Agreement
with the City which grants a license to construct, operate, maintain and
use a public recreation trail across such properties ; and
WHEREAS, as the use of the public recreation trail and other struc-
tures and facilities to be constructed by the City is beneficial to the
public, in the public interest and constitutes good and valuable con-
sideration, the City is to pay no monetary compensation to the County or to
the United States for such license ; and
WHEREAS, it is in the interests of the citizens of Fort Collins that
said public recreation trail be constructed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Mayor be, and he hereby is , authorized to enter into a
License Agreement with Larimer County for the construction, operation,
maintenance and use of a public recreation trail across certain properties
owned by the United States and managed by the County, which License Agree-
ment provides that the City shall pay no monetary compensation to the
County or the United States for such license.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City
of Fort Collins held this 18th day of December, 1984.
