HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-191-12/18/1984-AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE RESOLUTION 84- 191 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AND THE POUDRE VALLEY HOSPITAL DISTRICT FOR THE PROVISION OF DISPATCH SERVICES TO THE DISTRICT WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins operates a communications center and provides dispatching services to several governmental agencies in the area ; and WHEREAS, the Poudre Valley Hospital District ("District") provides paramedical , EMT and ambulance services to the area, all of which require dispatching services ; and WHEREAS, the consolidation of dispatching services avoids the dupli- cation of services and results in increased efficiency and greater coor- dination of service among emergency agencies ; and WHEREAS, the Poudre Emergency Communications Center has provided identical services to the District for the past five (5) years under similar agreements. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is , authorized to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement for the provision of twenty-four (24) hour dispatch services by the City of Fort Collins to the Poudre Valley Hospital District.
