RESOLUTION 84- 46
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION AND FILING OF AN
AMENDMENT TO THE SECTION 3 GRANT UNDER THE
URBAN MASS TRANSPORTATION ACT OF 1964, AS AMENDED
WHEREAS, the Secretary of Transportation is authorized to make grants
for mass transportation projects; and
WHEREAS, it is required by the U.S. Department of Transportation in
accord with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964,
that in connection with the filing of an application for assistance under
the Urban Mass Transportation Act of 1964, as amended, the applicant give
an assurance that it will comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of
1964 and the U.S. Department of Transportation requirements thereunder.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has determined that
it is in the best interest of the City that an amendment to the Section 3
Grant under the Urban Mass Transit Act authorizing the replacement of the
City' s two 1964 GMC buses with three 30-foot coaches be filed by the
City Manager on behalf of the City of Fort Collins.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS, COLORADO, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Manager is authorized to execute and file an
amendment on behalf of the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, with the U.S.
Department of Transportation to aid in the financing of three (3) Transfort
buses and computer equipment.
Section 2. That the City Manager is authorized to execute and file
with such application an assurance or any other document required by the
U.S. Department of Transportation of 1964.
Section 3. That the City Manager is authorized to furnish such
additional information as the U.S. Department Transportation may require
in connection with the application of the project.
Section 4. That the City Manager is authorized to execute, on behalf
of the City of Fort Collins, the Urban Mass Transportation Administration
Grant Agreement for Project No. CO-03-0025-3, which execution shall be
witnessed and attested by the City Clerk.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this20th day of a h, 1984.
