HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-045-03/20/1984-AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH SUTTER ARCHITECTS/ RESOLUTION 84- 45 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH SUTTER ARCHITECTS/PLANNERS FOR PREPARATION OF A FEASIBILITY STUDY AND DESIGN SERVICES ASSOCIATED WITH AN ADDITION TO NORTHSIDE AZTLAN COMMUNITY CENTER WHEREAS, Northside Aztlan Community Center was constructed in 1978 to provide indoor recreational facilities for Northern Fort Collins and the entire community; and WHEREAS, in 1982, City staff identified a need for a three thousand (3,000) square foot expansion of the building housing the Center; and WHEREAS, City Council approved an expenditure of Community Development Block Grant funds for a feasibility study of the expansion in January 1983 in Resolution 83-13; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the City' s Capital Project Management Control System guidelines, Sutter Architects/Planners of Fort Collins presented a proposal for said feasibility study as well as final design for the addi- tion for the total sum of Thirty-Three Thousand Five Hundred and Seventy Dollars ($33,570); and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-66 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins, no professional services agreement in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000) shall be entered into until approved by the City Council in an open Council meeting. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, that the City Manager be, and hereby is, authorized to enter into a professional services agreement with Sutter Architects/Planners for a feasibility study and design services associated with an addition to Northside Aztlan Community Center, said services to be performed by Sutter Architects/Planners for a sum not to exceed Thirty-Three Thousand Five Hundred and Seventy Dollars ($33,570) .
