OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH
ENGINEERING PROFESSIONALS FOR THE DESIGN OF THE
MASON AND HOWES ONE-WAY COUPLET PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins' 1984 Budget had appropriated
$340,000 for the City' s portion of the Mason and Howes One-way Couplet;
and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Capital Project Management Control
System manual , Requests for Proposals were issued for the design of this
project and seventeen proposals were reviewed by the consultant selection
committee; and
WHEREAS, said committee interviewed the top three firms and selected
Engineering Professionals as the best qualified firm for the Mason and
Howes One-Way Couplet Project; and
WHEREAS, staff has negotiated a time plus services agreement with
Engineering Professionals not to exceed a cost of Thirty-Eight Thousand
Five Hundred Dollars ($38,500) ; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-66 of the Code of the City of Fort
Collins, no professional services agreement in excess of $20,000 shall be
entered into until approved by the City Council in an open Council meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and hereby is, authorized to enter into a
professional services agreement with Engineering Professionals for the
design of the Mason and Howes One-way Couplet Project, said services to be
performed for a sum not to exceed Thirty-Eight Thousand Five Hundred
Dollars ($38,500) .
Passed and adopted at this regular meeting of the Council of the City
of Fort Collins held this 20th day of March, A.D. 1984.
