HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-011-01/17/1984-AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE BOARD OF AGRICULTURE BY AND T RESOLUTION 84- 11 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE BOARD OF AGRICULTURE BY AND THROUGH THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH OF THE ASSOCIATED STUDENTS OF COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING TRANSFORT SERVICES WHEREAS, pursuant to prior contracts the City will provide Transfort services to the student body of Colorado State University to January 20, 1984; and WHEREAS , the City and the Associated Students of Colorado State University have negotiated an agreement for the continuation of the pro- vision of Transfort services and the Council of the City of Fort Collins does hereby determine that it is in the City' s best interest that said agreement be executed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter into an agreement with the State Board of Agriculture by and through the Executive Branch of the Associated Students of Colorado State University for the purposes of providing Transfort service from January 20, 1984, through January 19, 1986. The terms of said agreement shall include the following provisions: 1. Subject to the following conditions, the City shall provide Transfort services from January 20, 1984, through January 19, 1986. 2. The Associated Students of Colorado State University shall pay the City the sum of $3.00 per semester for each full- time, fee-paying student for the first year (through January 19, 1985) . For the second year, if the student body through a referendum approves a 10% fee increase over the rate of the first year, the agreement will continue and ASCSU will reimburse the City $3.30 per student per semester. If the referendum question fails to receive approval , the agreement shall terminate on January 19, 1985. 3. The City shall provide a specified level of publicity to inform the students of the availability of Transfort services.
