RESOLUTION 84- 1
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
AN AGREEMENT WITH CARE-A-VAN TO PROVIDE
TRANSPORTATION SERVICES TO THE CITY
WHEREAS , the City has entered into previous agreements with the
Poudre-Thompson Transportation Corps, Inc. dba Care-A-Van, to provide
transportation services within Fort Collins; and
WHEREAS, Care-A-Van is eligible for federal matching funds to use in
the operation of their services; and
WHEREAS, the City agrees to pass through federal Section 18 monies as
specified in the contract on a reimbursement basis not to exceed Fifty-
Eight Thousand Three Hundred Sixty-Four Dollars ($58,364) ; and
WHEREAS, the City has appropriated the sum of Ten Thousand Five
Hundred ( $10,500) from the General Fund for transportation services;
and
WHEREAS, said agreement has been approved by the City Manager and the
City Attorney and the City Council desires to approve such agreement and
authorize its execution.
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS approves the terms and conditions of the Agreement with Care-A-Van
to provide for transportation services to the City upon payment by the City
of the sum of $68,864 annually.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager and City Clerk be, and
they hereby are, authorized and directed to execute an agreement with
Care-A-Van to provide transportation services to the City.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 3rd day of uary, A.D. 1984.
