HomeMy WebLinkAbout2005-024-03/15/2005-EXTENDING THE TERM OF THE AD HOC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS COMMITTEE RESOLUTION 2005-024 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS EXTENDING THE TERM OF THE AD HOC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS COMMITTEE WHEREAS, on December 16, 2003, the City Council adopted Resolution 2003-147, establishing an ad hoc Compensation and Benefits Committee (the "Committee"), consisting of Councilmembers Kurt Kastein and Eric Hamrick, to participate in the process of selecting a consultant to review and make recommendations to the City Council regarding employee compensation and benefits; and WHEREAS, on December 16, 2004, the City Council adopted Resolution 2004-137 extending the existence of the Committee and directing the Committee to address certain additional issues regarding employee compensation and benefits and to submit recommendations regarding the same to the Council no later than March 31, 2005; and WHEREAS,the Committee has finalized its recommendations but those recommendations will not be presented to the Council until April 26,2005,in order to allow time for the City Manager to communicate the Committee's recommendations to City employees and to answer their questions regarding the same; and WHEREAS, the Council believes it to be in the best interests of the City to extend the existence of the Committee through April 26,2005,so that the City Council can determine whether there is additional need for the Committee's services. NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the Committee shall remain in existence through April 26, 2005, or until such later date as the Council may then determine.
