HomeMy WebLinkAbout2004-134-11/16/2004-APPOINTING THE MEMBERS OF AN ECONOMIC VITALITY AND SUSTAINABILITY PANEL RESOLUTION 2004-134 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS APPOINTING THE MEMBERS OF AN ECONOMIC VITALITY AND SUSTAINABILTTY PANEL WHEREAS, by the adoption of Resolution 2004-113 (the 'Resolution") on September 21, 2004, the City Council established an Economic Vitality and Sustainability Action Panel (the "Panel") which shall: (a) serve as a forum for the continued discussion of economic vitality and sustainability issues; (b) provide information and advice to City Council, the City Manager and the Economic Advisor on a regular basis; (c) provide guidance in the creation and implementation of a formal action plan; (d) facilitate partnerships that lend organizational support for the implementation of economic vitality and sustainability partnership strategies; and (e) report to City Council, on an annual basis, progress achieved towards improving the economic vitality and sustainability of the Fort Collins community; and WHEREAS, the Resolution established the Panel for an initial period of two years, at which time the City Council shall decide whether to continue the Panel and stated that the Panel is to consist of an even number of members, ranging from eight to twelve; and WHEREAS, the Resolution further provides that the Panel shall be appointed by the City Council as follows: (a) One-half of the panel members shall consist of former members of the EVSAG, which members shall serve for one year, and shall thereafter be replaced by the other former members of the EVSAG. (b) The other half of the panel shall consist of such other members as the City Council shall deem appropriate, which members shall serve for a term of two years; and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to appoint the members of the Panel. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS as follows: Section 1. That the following former members of EVSAG shall serve as members of the Economic Vitality and Sustainability Panel for the first one-year term, commencing as of the effective date of this Resolution: Pat Brady Kim Jordan Linda Stanley Ken Deines Mary Fischer Stuart McMillan Section 2. That the following former members of EVSAG shall serve as members of the Economic Vitality and Sustainability Panel for the second one-year term, commencing upon the expiration of the terms of the members appointed under Section 1 above: Paul Hudnut David Neenan Tim Johnson Mary Robertson Bill Dieterich Ellen Zibell Section 3. That the following individuals shall serve as members of the Economic Vitality and Sustainability Panel for a two-year term, commencing as of the effective date of this Resolution.
