OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ENTER INTO A
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH
ROCKY MOUNTAIN CONSULTANTS
WHEREAS, the City's Master Plan includes construction of a water line
to serve the East Prospect area; and
WHEREAS, in June of 1989, the City issued a request for proposals for
design and construction engineering for the East Prospect Water Line to
provide such service; and
WHEREAS, upon analysis of the proposals, it has been determined that
Rocky Mountain Consultants should be engaged to perform such work; and
WHEREAS, the City has negotiated a fee not to exceed Eighty Thousand
Six Hundred and Five Dollars ($80,605) for the performance of such work;
and
WHEREAS, the funds for this expenditure have been budgeted and
appropriated and are available in the Capital Projects Fund; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 8-129 of the Code of the City of Fort
Collins, the City Manager has approved this contract for professional
services; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 8-129 of the Code of the City of Fort
Collins, professional services agreements in excess of Twenty Thousand
Dollars ($20,000) require approval by the City Council in an open Council
meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Purchasing Agent be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into a professional services agreement with Rocky Mountain Consultants for
design and construction engineering services for the East Prospect Water
Line, for a total cost not to exceed Eighty Thousand Six Hundred and Five
Dollars ($80,605) .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 15th day of August, A.D. 1989.
