OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO
ENTER INTO A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT
WITH LEGGAT MCCALL ADVISORS, INC.
FOR PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES LEADING TOWARD
THE DEVELOPMENT OF BLOCK 31
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins and the County of Larimer jointly
own Block 31 located within the City; and
WHEREAS, it was determined that a consultant should be hired to assist
in the process of analyzing the public-private potential of developing
Block 31 and other options available; and
WHEREAS, the City requested proposals from qualified firms to evaluate
the development potential of the site; and
WHEREAS, upon analysis of the proposals, it has been determined that
Leggat McCall Advisors, Inc. , should be engaged to perform said evaluation;
and
WHEREAS, the City has negotiated a fee not to exceed Thirty-eight
Thousand Dollars ($38,000) ; and
WHEREAS, the City's portion of the funds for this expenditure has been
budgeted and appropriated and sufficient funds for this agreement are
available in the joint City/County fund established for expenses on Block
31; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 8-129 of the Code of the City of Fort
Collins, the City Manager has approved this contract for professional
services; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 8-129 of the Code of the City of Fort
Collins, professional services agreements in excess of Twenty Thousand
Dollars ($20,000) require approval by the City Council in an open Council
meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Purchasing Agent be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into a professional services agreement with Leggat McCall Advisors, Inc. ,
for a total cost not to exceed Thirty-eight Thousand Dollars ($38,000) , for
the evaluation of options, including public-private potential for
development, regarding Block 31.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 15th day of August,
