OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
EXPRESSING GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION
TO JOHN B. KNEZOVICH FOR HIS CONTRIBUTIONS
TO THE COMMUNITY AS COUNCILMEMBER AND MAYOR
WHEREAS, John B. Knezovich served as a Councilmember representing
District 2 from April 14, 1981 until May 7, 1986; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Knezovich served as Assistant Mayor of the City of Fort
Collins from April 6, 1982 until April 12, 1983; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Knezovich also served as Mayor of the City of Fort
Collins from April 12, 1983 until April 3, 1984; and
WHEREAS, during his term of office he has served on numerous
committees of the Council , including the Fort Collins-Loveland Airport
Authority and the Downtown Development Authority; and
WHEREAS , Mr . Knezovich served for two years as the City ' s
representative on the Platte River Power Authority Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Knezovich was elected to the Colorado Municipal League
Board of Directors in June 1985; and
WHEREAS, this period of time has seen great growth and change in the
City, and John Knezovich was called upon to devote substantial time and
energy to the affairs of the City of Fort Collins.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City expresses its sincere appreciation and gratitude to
John B. Knezovich for his service and contributions to the community as
Councilmember and Mayor.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this
7th day of October, A.D. 1986.
