OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
TERMINATING THE SERVICE OF STEVEN G. FRANCIS
AS A MEMBER OF THE HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION
WHEREAS, on or about July 7, 1987, the Council appointed Steven G.
Francis ("Mr. Francis") to membership on the Human Relations Commission,
with the term of his office to expire July 1, 1990; and
WHEREAS, under Article IV, Section 1 of the Charter, all members of
appointive boards of the City serve at the pleasure of the Council and are
subject to removal by the Council , with or without cause; and
WHEREAS, the Council has determined that it is no longer in the best
interest of the City that Mr. Francis continue to serve as a member of the
Human Relations Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows:
Section 1 . That the service of Mr. Francis on the Human Relations
Commission is hereby terminated, effective immediately.
Section 2. That the vacancy created by the removal of Mr. Francis
from the Human Relations Commission for the remaining unexpired portion of
Mr. Francis' term be filled by the Council as expeditiously as possible.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 17th day of April , A.D. 1990.
