OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL
AGREEMENT WITH THE COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR
THE CONSTRUCTION OF BIKE LANES ON COUNTY ROAD 9 BETWEEN
HORSETOOTH ROAD AND HARMONY ROAD
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has determined that it is
in the best interests of the citizens of the City that bike lanes be constructed
along County Road 9 between Horsetooth Road and Harmony Road; and
WHEREAS, said bike lane project on County Road 9 was selected by the North
Front Range Transportation and Air Quality Planning Council as an Enhancement
Project for Fiscal Year 1994; and
WHEREAS, said project has been included within the North Front Range
Transportation Improvement Program for Fiscal Years 1994-1996; and
WHEREAS, said project is anticipated to cost the sum of $162,662, and will
utilize $116,639 in Federal Enhancement Funds, with the City being responsible
to provide local matching funds in the sum of $46,023; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has determined that said
bike lane project is in the best interest of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that the Mayor be and hereby is authorized to enter into an intergovernmental
agreement with the Colorado Department of Transportation for the construction of
bike lanes on and along County Road 9 between Horsetooth Road and Harmony Road,
which project is anticipated to cost the sum of One Hundred Sixty-two Thousand
Six Hundred Sixty-two Dollars ($162,662.00) to be funded in part by Federal
Enhancement Funds in the sum of One Hundred Sixteen Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-
nine Dollars ($116,639.00) and City local matching funds of Forty-six Thousand
Twenty-three Dollars ($46,023.00) .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the ncil of the City of Fort
Collins held this 17th day of May, A.D. 1994.
