OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO A GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE
BOARD OF THE GREAT OUTDOORS COLORADO TRUST FUNDFOR THE
RESTORATION OF SHELDON LAKE AT CITY PARK
WHEREAS,the City has applied for, and has been offered, a grant from the State Board of
the Great Outdoors Colorado Trust Fund ("GOCO") in the amount of$40,000, for the purpose of
restoring Sheldon Lake at City Park in Fort Collins; and
WHEREAS, the GOCO grant project funds will assist the City in improving the condition
of Sheldon Lake; and
WHEREAS,the required City matching funds, in the amount of$103,000, are budgeted and
appropriated in the Stormwater Utility, Parks Division and Parks Planning budgets.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT COLLINS, that the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a grant agreement with
the State Board of the Great Outdoors Colorado Trust Fund, for the purpose of obtaining funding for
the restoration of Sheldon Lake at City Park, which Agreement shall contain such additional terms
and conditions consistent with this Resolution as the City Manager, in consultation with the City
Attorney, deems appropriate.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins h9ld this
6th day of January, A.D. 1998.
