HomeMy WebLinkAbout1993-053-04/20/1993-COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY COMPUTER AIDED DISPATCH COMPUTER SYSTEM CSU POLICE DEPARTMENT IGA MAINTENA RESOLUTION 93-53 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY FOR THE PROPORTIONATE PAYMENT OF COMPUTER SYSTEM MAINTENANCE COSTS WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins owns and operates computer systems for Computer-Aided Dispatch ("CAD") and Police Records Management System ("RMS") ; and WHEREAS, the Colorado State University Police Department ("CSUPD") utilizes the City's CAD/RMS computer systems; and WHEREAS, CSUPD's utilization of these computer systems avoids duplication of expensive technology, creates cost savings and represents a beneficial cooperation between local government agencies; and WHEREAS, Article II, Section 16, of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins provides that the City Council may, by ordinance or resolution, enter into contracts with other governmental bodies to furnish governmental services and to make charges for such services, or to enter into cooperative or joint activities with other governmental bodies; and WHEREAS, this intergovernmental agreement provides for CSUPD's use of the City's CAD/RMS computer systems and for a proportional payment for maintenance of said systems. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the Mayor be, and hereby is, authorized to enter into an intergovernmental agreement between the City and Colorado State University dated October 21, 1992.
