OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO GINA JANETT
FOR HER CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE COMMUNITY AS
COUNCILMEMBER AND MAYOR PRO TEM
WHEREAS, Gina Janett was elected in 1993 for a four-year term as Councilmember
for District 1; she was appointed to serve as Mayor Pro Tem in 1994; and served in that
capacity until 1997; and
WHEREAS, during her tenure, Ms. Janett served on numerous Council committees,
including the Ad Hoc Council Liaison Committee, the Ethics Review Board, the
Governance Committee, the Growth Management Committee, the Joint Utility District
Advisory Committee, the Overall Economic Development Program Committee, and the
Water Planning Committee; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Janett also represented the City on various intergovernmental
committees and tasks forces, including the County Road 32 Corridor Working Group, the
Transportation Working Group, and the Urban Growth Area Review Board; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Janett also served as a liaison to numerous Boards and
Commissions and in countless other assignments during her tenure as Councilmember
and Mayor Pro Tem; and
WHEREAS, this period of time has seen great growth and change in the City, and
Ms. Janett was called upon to devote substantial time and energy to the affairs of the City
of Fort Collins in her roles of Councilmember and Mayor Pro Tem.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT COLLINS that the City expresses its sincere appreciation and gratitude to Gina
Janett for her outstanding service and contributions to the community as Councilmember
and Mayor Pro Tem.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this 15th day of
April, A.D. 1997.
