HomeMy WebLinkAbout1997-156-12/16/1997-1998 PROJECTS COLORADO HISTORIC PRESERVATION INCOME TAX CREDIT NOT REVIEWING ENTITY RESOLUTION 97-156 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, COLORADO, STATING THE CITY'S INTENT TO NOT ACT AS A REVIEWING ENTITY FOR THE COLORADO HISTORIC PRESERVATION INCOME TAX CREDIT FOR QUALIFYING HISTORIC REHABILITATION PROJECTS FOR 1998 WHEREAS, Section 39-22-514 of the Colorado Revised Statutes establishes rehabilitation tax credits for historic structures throughout the state; and WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins, as a Certified Local Government pursuant to the provisions of 16 U.S.C. Section 470a(c)(1), as amended, is eligible to review such rehabilitation tax credit projects as a reviewing entity as defined in Section 39-22-514(12)(i)(I), C.R.S.; and WHEREAS, the provisions of Section 39-22-514(10)(a) require that each Certified Local Government must annually adopt a Resolution stating whether such Certified Local Government will act as a reviewing entity during the following twelve (12) months; and WHEREAS, the Fort Collins Landmark Preservation Commission, as the City of Fort Collins' official review board for historic resources,has recommended that the City Council decline the reviewing entity function for the Colorado Historic Preservation Income Tax Credit and return this function to the Colorado Historical Society for the calendar year 1998. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the City of Fort Collins hereby declines to act as a reviewing entity for the purposes of subsections (3) and (6) of Section 39-22-514, C.R.S., for calendar year 1998.
