OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
EXPRESSING GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION
TO CHARLES A. WANNER FOR HIS CONTRIBUTIONS TO
THE COMMUNITY AS A COUNCILMEMBER
WHEREAS, Charles A. Wanner served as a Councilmember representing City Council
District 6 from December 6, 1994, through May 31, 2002; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure, Mr. Wanner served as Mayor Pro Tern and the Council
Liaison to the Affordable Housing Board, Citizen Review Board, Storm Drainage Board,
Telecommunications Board and Water Board; and
WHEREAS,Mr.Wanner served as a member of various Council Committees including the
Ad Hoc Council Liaison Committee, Ethics Review Board, Finance Committee, the Growth
Management Committee, Health and Safety Committee, Organizational Development Committee,
and the Water Planning Committee; and
WHEREAS, the City was represented by Mr. Wanner through his service on the Cache La
Poudre Commission,Downtown Development Authority Board of Directors,the Housing Authority
Board of Directors, Larimer/Weld Water Issues Group, Funding Partners for Housing Solutions
Board, Poudre Fire Authority Board of Directors and numerous other assignments; and
WHEREAS,Mr. Wanner also deserves recognition for his contributions and service to the
Fort Collins community, prior to his election as a Councilmember, as a small business owner,
member of the Downtown Development Authority Board of Directors and the West Side
Neighborhood Plan Steering Committee; and
WHEREAS,during his tenure on City Council,Charles Wanner helped to establish policies
that continue to benefit the community and guide the path to the future during a period of continued
unprecedented activity.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City expresses its sincere appreciation and gratitude to Charles A. Wanner for
his service, leadership and contributions to the community as Councilmember.
Passed and adopted at a special meeting of the City Council held this 2 h day of May,A.D.
