Home My WebLink About2019-007-01/15/2019-AMENDING THE CITY'S STRUCTURE PLAN MAP RESOLUTION 2019-007 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AMENDING THE CITY'S STRUCTURE PLAN MAP WHEREAS, the City has initiated the Strauss Cabin Enclave Annexation; and WHEREAS, the City Structure Plan Map currently classifies the portion of the Strauss Cabin Enclave Annexation east of the centerline of Strauss Cabin Road as eligible for placement into the Rural Lands ("R-U-L") District upon annexation; and WHEREAS, changing the City Structure Plan Map to allow the zoning of the east portion of the Strauss Cabin Enclave Annexation to be Urban Estate ("U-E") instead of R-U-L will best facilitate the development and redevelopment of the property to be annexed; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Structure Plan is in need of the proposed amendment from R-U=L to U-E in order to facilitate the development and redevelopment of the property to be annexed; and WHEREAS, the proposed amendment will promote the public welfare and is consistent with the vision, goals, principles of City Plan and the elements thereof; and WHEREAS, accordingly, the City Council has determined that the proposed change to the City Structure Plan Map is in the best interests of the citizens of the City; and WHEREAS, the City Council has further determined that the City's Structure Plan Map should be amended as shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto, so that the proposed rezoning will comport with the City's Comprehensive Plan in its entirety, including the City's Structure Plan Map. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, as follows: Section 1. That the City Council hereby makes and adopts the determinations and findings contained in the recitals set forth above. Section 2. That the City Council finds that the existing City Plan Structure Plan Map is in need of the amendment set forth herein. Section 3. That the City Council .finds that the proposed amendment promotes the public welfare and is consistent with the vision, goals, principles and policies of City Plan and the elements thereof. Section 4. That the City Plan Structure Plan Map is hereby amended so as to appear as shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. -1- Passed and adopted at a regular meeting_ of the Council of the City of Fort Collins this 15th day of January, A.D. 2019.
