HomeMy WebLinkAbout2015-004-01/06/2015-AMENDING THE CITY'S STRUCTURE PLAN MAP RESOLUTION 2015-004 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT COLLINS AMENDING THE CITY'S STRUCTURE PLAN MAP WHEREAS, the City has received an application to rezone certain property located northeast of the Lincoln Avenue/Lemay Avenue intersection; and WHEREAS, the applicant for the Capstone Cottages Rezoning has requested an amendment to the City's Structure Plan Map so as to enable the rezoning of certain property located northeast of the Lincoln Avenue/Lemay Avenue intersection from the Industrial ("I") Zone District to the Medium Density Mixed-Use Neighborhood ("M-M-N") Zone District and to rezone certain property from the Medium Density Mixed-Use Neighborhood ("M-M-N") Zone District to the Industrial ("I") Zone District; and WHEREAS, the City Council has received a favorable recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Board with regard the proposed amendment to the City's Structure Plan Map upon the basis that the existing map is in need of the proposed amendment and that the proposed amendment will promote the public welfare and will be consistent with the vision, goals, principles and policies of City Plan and the elements thereof, and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the proposed amendment of the City's Structure Plan Map is in the best interests of the citizens of the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, as follows: Section 1. That the City Council finds that the City's existing Structure Plan Map is in need of the amendment requested by the applicant for the Capstone Cottages Rezoning. Section 2. That the City Council finds that the proposed amendment will promote the public welfare and'will be consistent with the vision, goals, principles and policies of City Plan and the elements thereof. Section 3. That the City Plan Structure Plan Map is hereby amended so as to appear as shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. - 1 - Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the_City of Fort Collins this 6th day of January, A.D. 2015.
