HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-099-10/05/1972-AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MAKE THE NECESSARY SURVEYS AND PREPARE MAPS, PLANS AN RESOLUTION 72-99 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MAKE THE NECESSARY SURVEYS AND PREPARE MAPS, PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ESTIMATES OF COST FOR A PERiIANENT IMPROVEMENT DISTPICT TO BE FORMED FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING A WATER MAIN WHEREAS, the owners of more than one per cent of the property to be assessed have petitioned the City Council under the provisions of Chapter 15 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, 1958, as amended, relating to local public improvements for the organization of a permanent improvement district for the purpose of installing a water main, and WHEREAS, said petitioners were duly received by the City Council and duly referred to the City Engineer for the purpose of checking the same with respect to compliance with the requirements and provisions of said Chaoter 15, and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has reported to the City Council that said petitions are in compliance with the requirements and provisions of said Chapter 15 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Fort Collins , Colorado, 1958, as amended, and that the owners of the required area of the property to be assessed have properly and legally signed such petitions, and that the area to be benefited by the proposed improvements is the area described on Exhibit A attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that said petition be and the same hereby is received and approved, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Engineer be and he hereby is authorized, empowered and directed to make a complete survey of the proposed district for the purpose of preparing a map, plans and specifications , and an estimate of the cost of said improvements in saia district, and the amount to I I i I J be assessed to the respective lots and blocks in properties located within the district, said district to comprise and include the property described on the attached Exhibit A, and all of said property to be assessed for the improvement hereinabove described, which said Mork when completed shall with all convenient speed be reported to the City Council for appropriate action for the purpose of organizing said district as provided by law and providing for the construction of the permanent improvements therein in accordance with said plans and specifi- cathons Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this 5th day of October A D , 1972 1ayor, &?.'
