OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS ESTABLISHING 4 POLICY
REGARDING CITY COUNCIL EXPENSES IN CONNECTION WITH CONVENTIONS AND
OTHER TRAVEL CONVECTED WITH CITY BUSINESS
WHEREAS, heretofore the City Council established a policy tnat the expenses
of a spouse of a council member in attending municipal conventions or other city
travel expenses, would be reimbursed by the City, and
WHEREAS neretofore on January 18, 1973, a motion was duly passed by tht
City Council to change such policy, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to set fortn by written Resolution the
policy of the City Council as to future expenses of this nature
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1 Hereafter, the City will reimburse council members in connection
with their attendance at city conventions or for travel for any other purpose on
city business, only to the extent of the expenses of the council member, and such
reimbursement snall not extend to the expenses of a soouse of a council member
Section 2 Such reimbursement for council member expenses shall include
travel expenses to and from the site of the convention or other city business, and
lodging and meals during the time of the convention or other city business, and
any other expenses reasonably incurred by the council member and associated with
the convention or other city business in gjestion
Section 3 Such reimbursement shall not include reimbursement for any
personal expenses not connected with city business
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this 25tn
day of January, A D 1973
