WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fort Collins,
Colorado is familiar with the growing transportation needs
of the City of Fort Collins, and that such transportation
needs include the need for unrestricted charter bus service
by common carrier, and
WHEREAS, Colorado Motorway has for many years rendered
satisfactory service as a regular route common carrier, and
formerly provided satisfactory charter service as a common
carrier and more recently has rendered satisfactory limited
charter service as a private carrier, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fort Collins,
Colorado has reviewed the application of Colorado Motorway,
Inc for clarification or in the alternative for extension of
its Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to render
unrestricted common carrier charter bus service to and from
the City of Fort Collins to and from all other points within
the State of Colorado, and such bus service is required by
the public convenience and necessity,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of Fort Collins, Colorado does hereby request the Colorado
Public Utilities Commission to clarify or grant the requested
authority to Colorado Motorway, Inc at the earliest possible
moment
