RESOLUTION 74-50
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROVING AN AGREEMENT TO BE ENTERED INTO
WITH FORT COLLINS AREA COUNCIL ON ALCOHOL-
ISM AND ALCOHOL ABUSE, INC
WHEREAS, heretofore the City of Fort Collins has received from the
federal government certain revenue sharing funds, and
WHEREAS, the Council has determined to use a portion of said funds to
develop human resource programs in the City, and
WHEREAS, the Council has heretofore authorized the creation of a Depart-
ment of Human Resources in the municipal service of the City, and
WHEREAS, it is anticipated at this time that surplus funds are still
available within the amount budgeted for the human resource program, and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Council that it is in the
best interests of the City to contract with Fort Collins Area Council on Alco-
holism and Alcohol Abuse, Inc for the establishment of a facility and program
to serve the problem of alcoholics in the community, and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been prepared providing for the establishment
of such program which would benefit the City and residents of the City, which
agreement has been approved by the City Manager and the City Attorney, and
the City Council now desires to approve such agreement and authorize its execu-
tion
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that the terms and conditions of said agreement be, and the same hereby are,
accepted and approved, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they hereby
are, directed and authorized to execute said agreement for and on behalf of
the City of Fort Collins
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this
sixteenth day of May, A D 1974
