OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS ADOPTING
THE REPORT OF THE CITY ENGINEER ON THE ESTIMATES,
COSTS AND ASSESSMENTS FOR CONSOLIDATED STREET IMPROVE-
MENT DISTRICT NO. 68, APPROVING THE DETAILS AND SPECIFICATIONS
FOR SUCH PROPOSED DISTRICT, DETERMINING THE At.4OUNT
OR PROPORTION OF THE TOTAL COST TO BE PAID BY A METHOD
OTHER THAN ASSESSP.-M'S AGAINST PROPERTY IN T4E DISTRICT,
THE NUMER OF INSTALLMENTS AND THE TIME WITHIN WHICH
THE COST OF THE IMPROMENTS ASSESSED AGAINST PROPERTY
IN THE DISTRICT WILL BE PAYABLE, THE RATE OF INTEREST
TO BE CHARGED ON UNPAID INSTALLMENTS, THE PROPERTY
TO BE ASSESSED FOR THE IMPROV 11ENTS, THE METHOD OF
MAKING SUCH ASSES3•4ENTS, AND THE DATE WHEN THE COUNCIL
WILL HOLD A HEARING AND CONSIDER THE ORDERING BY ORDINANCE
OF THE PROPOSED I14PROMENTS
WHEREAS, heretofore the City Council by resolution directed the
City Engineer to make a complete survey of proposed Consolidated Street
Improvement District No. 68, including the preparation of a map, plans
a,nd specifications, and estimate of cost of the improvements in said proposed
d�_strict; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made his report and has presented
Me details and specifications for the proposed district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS:
Section 1. That the report, plans, specifications, map and estimate
as presented by the City Engineer for said district be and the same hereby
are accepted and approved.
Section 2. The following amount or proportion of the total cost
of such improvements shall be paid by the City at large and not by assessments
against property in the district, to-wit: $ 12,332'.00 .
Section 3. The property to be assessed for the improvements shall
be as follows: all lots and lands abutting the streets so improved.
Section 4. Assessments for the cost of installing the improvements
in the district will be made as follows: upon all of the lots and lands abutting
on the streets improved in the district in proportion as the frontage of each
lot or tract of land on any individual street is to the frontage of all lots
and lands on such street so improved, provided, however, that in the case of
the improvements on Parker Street which is to be fully improved on the north
one-half of said street but only partially improved on the south one-half of
the street the costs of improving the north one-half of the street shall be asses_:,.?
upon all of the lots and lands abutting the improved portion of the north side
of the street in proportion as the frontage of each lot or .tract of land abutting
such north side of the street is to the frontage of all lots and lands abutting
the north side of the street and the cost of installing the improvements on the
south side of the street shall be assessed upon all of the lots and lands abutti;I
the improved portion of the south side of the street in proportion as the frontage:
of each lot or tract or land so abutting the south side of the street is to the
frontage of all lots and lands abutting the south side of the street so improved;
and provided further that in the case of the improvements on Hickory Street from
the railroad tracks west only the north one-half of such street is to be improved
and the cost of improving such north one-half of such portion of said street
shall be assessed upon all of the lots and lands abutting such improved portion
of the north side of the street in proportion as the frontage of each lot or
tract of land abutting such improved north side of the street is to the frontage
of all lots and lands abutting the north side of the street and provided further
that on the balance of Hickory Street from College Avenue to the railroad right
of, way sidewalk is to be installed only upon the -iorth side of the street and
the cost of such sidewalk shall be assessed only against the lots and lands abutt n.
the north side of the street so improved with sidewalk. In accordance with the

provisions of Section 16-5 D of the Code of the City of Fort Collins, each street-
improved shall be considered as a separate area for the purpose of such assessments.
Section 5. Said assessments shall be payable in ten (10) equal annual
installments, with interest on the unpaid installments at the rate of six
percent (60) per annum.
Section 6. That on the 2nd day of August, 1973, at the hour of 6:30
o'clock P.M. , or as soon thereafter as the matter may come on for hearing,
in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, City of Fort Collins, is the
date on which the Council of the City of Fort Collins will consider the
ordering by ordinance of the proposed improvements and hear all complaints
and objections that may be made and filed in writing concerning the proposed
improvements by the owners of any real estate to be assessed or any persons
interested generally.
Section 7. The City Clerk be and she hereby is directed to give
notice by publication and mailing to the owners of property to be assessed
and to all interested persons generally, all as set forth in Chapter 16
of the Code of the City of Fort Collins. .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held
this 7th day of June, 1973.

PERSONS OF THE KINDS OF IMPROVEMENTS PROPOSED, THE
NU BER OF INSTALLMIENTS, AND THE TIME IN WHICH THE
COST OF SUCH INIPROV24ENTS WILL BE PAYABLE, THE RATE
OF INTEREST TO BE PAID ON UNPAID AND DEFERRED INSTALIMENTS,
THE EXTENT OF THE DISTRICT TO BE IMPROVED, THE PROBABLE
COST AND THE MAXIMUM COST TO BE ASSESSED, THE TIHE
WHEN THE CITY COUNCIL WILL CONSIDER ORDERING BY ORDINANCE
THE PROPOSED I1,4PROV11JENTS AND HEAR COM4PLAINTS AND
OBJECTIONS, AND THAT A MAP OF THE DISTRICT AND DETAILS
CONCERNING THE SAME ARE ON FILE AND CAN BE SEEN IN
THE CITY CLERK'S OFFICE
Public notice is hereby given to persons interested and to owners
of property to be assessed in Consolidated Street Improvement District
No. 68 that the kind of improvements proposed for said district is : the
improvement of the streets within the district by the installation of curb,
gutter, sidewalks, asphalt street pavement and street lighting, and that
the cost of said improvements as assessed will be payable in ten equal
annual installments and that the rate of interest to be paid on unpaid
and deferred installments will be six percent (60) per annum and that the
extent of the district to be improved is as follows:
A. Cherry Street between Pearl Street and Franklin Street.
B. City Park Avenue between Elizabeth Street and Plum Street.
C. Maple Street between Fishback Avenue and a point ninety (90)
feet each of Fishback Avenue.
D. Springfield Drive between Taft Hill Road and Springfield Court
(omitting the north side of Springfield Drive between Springfield Court and
a ;,oint 115 feet east of Springfield Court).
E. Parker Street between Stover Street and a point 50 feet west
of Smith Place (the north one-half of said street to be fully improved but
the south one-half of said street to be improved only with 6 foot of asphalt
pavement) .
F. Hickory Street between College Avenue and a point 2,472 feet
;vest of College Avenue (the south one-half of said street to be improved
only from College Avenue to the railroad right of way and sidewalk to be
installed only on the north side of the street) .
and that the probable cost of said improvements as shown by the total estimate
of the City Engineer is $114,847.00 , exclusive of the cost of collection,
legal, advertising, engineering, financing, interest and other incidentals
and that to said cost will be added an amount equal to seventeen percent
(170) of such cost to cover the expense of collection, legal and advertising,
engineering, financing, interest during construction, and other incidentals
and that assessments for the cost of such improvements within the district
will be made as follows: upon all of the lots and lands abutting on the
streets improved in the district in proportion as the frontage of each lot
or tract of land on any individual street is to the frontage of all lots and
lands on such street so improved, provided, however, that in the case of
ti-le improvements on Parker Street which is to be fully improved on the
north one-half of said street but only partially improved on the south
one-half of the street the costs of improving the north one-half of the street
shall be assessed upon all of the lots and lands abutting the improved
portion of the north side of the street in proportion as the frontage of each
lot or tract of land abutting such north side of the street is to the frontage

assessed upon all of the lots and lands abutting the improved portion of
the south side of the street in proportion as the frontage of each lot or
tract or land so abutting the south side of the street is to the frontage
of all lots and lands abutting the south side of the street so improved;
and provided further that in the case of the improvements on Hickory Street
from the railroad tracks west only the north one-half of such street is to
be improved and the cost of improving such north one-half of such portion
of said street shall be assessed upon all of the lots and lands abutting
such improved portion of the north side of the street in proportion as the
frontage of each lot or tract of land abutting such improved north side of
the street is to the frontage of all lots and lands abutting the north side
of the street and provided further that on the balance of Hickory Street
from College Avenue to the railroad right of way sidewalk is to be installed
only upon the north side of the street and the cost of such sidewalk shall
be assessed only against the lots and lands abutting the north side of the
street so improved with sidewalk. In accordance with the provisions of
Section 16-5 D of the Code of the City of Fort Collins, each street improved
shall be considered as a separate area for the purpose of such assessments;
and that the maximum amount to be assessed, exclusive of the cost of collection,
legal and advertising, engineering, financing, interest during construction,
and other incidentals, is as follows: ,$104,,490:7,5.
and that on the 2nd day of August, 1973, at the hour of 6:30 o'clock P.M. ,

Chambers in the City Hall, Fort Collins, Colorado, is the date that the
City Council will consider the ordering by ordinance of the proposed improvements
and hear all complaints and objections that may be made and filed in writing
by the owners of any property to be assessed or persons interested generally.
All complaints or objections should be made in writing and filed in.the
office of the City Clerk in the City Hall before said date; and
That a map of the district and estimates of cost, schedules showing
the approximate amount per front foot to be assessed upon the several lots
or parcels of land within the district and all proceedings of the City
Council in the premises are on file and can be seen and examined in the
City Clerk's office during business hours at any time before said hearing.
