RESOLUTION
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
DETERMINING THE GENERAL TAX LEVY TO BE MADE
BY THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS FOR THE YEAR 1974
AND DIRECTING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO
CERTIFY TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF LARIMER COUNTY THE AMOUNT OF SAID LEVY
WHEREAS, the City Manager has heretofore presented to the City
Council a proposed budget for the ensuing budget year of 1974 pursuant
to the Charter of the City of Fort Collins; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has received said proposed budget and
has held hearings thereon and is familiar with the same; and
!WHEREAS, it is necessary that the City Council determine the
tax levy to be made by the City of Fort Collins for the year 1974 so
that the same can be certified to the County Commissioners of Larimer
County; and
WHEREAS, the levy of the City of Fort Collins for the past
year was 10 mils and it appears that such levy will be adequate when
considered with other available revenue sources of the City to defray
the expenses to be incurred by the City during the budget year 1974.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT COLLINS:
Section 1 . That the City Council hereby determines that the
mil levy rate for taxation upon all taxable property within the corporate
limits of the City of Fort Collins for the fiscal year ending December 31,
1974, shall be 10 mils , which levy represents the amount of taxes for
City purposes necessary to provide for payment during the ensuing budget
year of all properly authorized demands against the City, which mil levy
shall be distributed totally to the general fund and which levy as so
distributed shall be certified to the County Assessor and the Board of
County Commissioners of Larimer County by the Director of Finance as
provided by law.
Passed and adopted at a special meeting of the City Council

1974 LEVY FOR THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
TAXES
TO THE COUNTY ASSESSOR, THE COUNTY CLERK, THE COUNTY TREASURER, AND
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF LARIMER COUNTY, COLORADO
Pursuant to the Charter of the City of Fort Collins , Colorado,
and .the resolution duly adopted by the City Council of the City of
Fort Collins on the 15th day of October, A. D. , 1973, the tax levied
in mills upon the assessed valuation of all taxable property within
the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, to provide taxes for City
purposes during the fiscal year 1974, are hereby certified at a
r.
total of 10.00 mills divided as follows:
General Expense . . . : . . . . . . 10.00 Mills
which total levy of 10.00 Mills is to be extended upon the tax list
of the current year 1973 as the "City of Fort Collins Taxes".
