OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY .OF FORT COLLINS
APPROVING AN AGREEMENT TO. BE.ENTERED INTO
W17H_ THE HUMANE SOCIETY FOR LARIMER COUNTY
WT1 REAS, the City has heretofore conducted and maintained its
animal shelter in cooperation with and upon lands owned by Colorado State
University; and
WHEREAS, continuation of the existing animal shelter is no
longer possible and it is .necessary that the City establish a different
animal shelter to be. used in connection with-the enforcement of the
ordinances of the City of Fort Collins relating to animals; and
WHEREAS, the Humane Society for Latimer County is constructing
an animal shelter and has proposed to maintain the City's animal shelter
in its facility; and
1WREAS', an agreement has been prepared providing for the
maintenance of the City's animal shelter' by the Humane Society for Latimer
County, which agreement has been approved by -the City Manager and the
City Attorney; and
WHEREAS, .the City Council desires to approve and adopt said
agreement.
NQW, THFREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY.THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT COLLINS' that .the terms and conditions of the proposed agreement
between the City of Fort Collins and the Humane Society for Latimer
County providing for the maintenance of an animal .shelter for the City
by the Humane Society for Latimer County be, and the same hereby are,
accepted and approved; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED .that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and
they hereby are, authorized and directed to execute said agreement for
and on behalf of-the City of Fort Collins.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of.the City Council
