HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-001-01/07/1971-AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MAKE THE NECESSARY SURVEYS AND PREPARE THE MAPS, PLAN / RESOLUTION 71��1; OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MAKE THE NECESSARY / SURVEYS AND PREPARE THE MAPS, PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ESTIMATES OF COSTS FOR A PERMANENT IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT TOGETHER WITH A SCHEDULE OF ASSESSMENTS FOR THE PROPERTY IN SAID DISTRICT FOR THE PURPOSE OF CREAT- ING A PERMANENT IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT WHEREAS, the owners of more than one (1 ) per cent of the property to be assessed for the same have petitioned the City Council under the pro- visions of Chapter 15 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, 1958, as amended, relating to local public improvements for the organization of a permanent improvement district within the property described on Exhibit A attached hereto for the purpose of installing a sanitary sewer line, and WHEREAS, said petitions were duly received by the City Council and duly referred to the City Engineer for the purpose of checking the same with respect to compliance with the requirements and provisions of said Chapter 15, and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has reported that said petitions do com- ply with such requirements and provisions, and that the owners of the required amount of property have legally and properly signed such petitions NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, that the City Engineer be and he hereby is authorized, empowered and directed to make a complete survey of the proposed district for the purpose of preparing a map, plans and specifications and an estimate of the costs of said improvements in said district and the amount to be assessed to the respective property located in said district, said district to comprise and include the lots and blocks and lands within the area described on Exhibit A attached hereto and with such assessment to be made upon all real estate in said district in proportion as the area of each piece of real estate in the district is to the area of all the real estate in the district exclusive of streets and alleys, which said work when completed, shall with all convenience be reported to the City Council for appropriate action for the purpose of organizing said district as provided by law and providing for the construction of the permanent improvements therein and in accordance with said plans and specifications Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this 7th day of January A D 1971 a ATTEST City' erk - 2 - Description of Sanitary Sewer Improvement District No. 55 (1970) Commencing at the intersection of the centerline of Mulberry Street and the east line of Ponderosa Drive; thence westerly along the centerline of Mulberry Street 35.00 feet to the true point of beginning; thence continuing westerly along the centerline of West Mulberry Street 143.00 feet; thence southerly and parallel to the east line of Ponderosa Drive 130.00 feet; thence westerly and parallel to the centerline of Mulberry Street 330.00 feet; thence northerly and parallel to the east line of Ponderosa Drive 2.50 feet; thence westerly and parallel to the centerline of Mulberry Street 120.00 feet; thence southerly and parallel to the east line of Ponderosa Drive 12.50 feet; thence westerly and parallel to the centerline of Mulberry Street 540.00 feet to the westerly line of Green Meadows Homesites, Second Subdivision; thence northerly and parallel to the east line of Ponderosa Drive 140.00 feet to the centerline of Mulberry Street; thence easterly along the centerline of Mulberry Street 146.54 feet; thence northerly along the annexation line of the Plat of Maxwell's Second Annexation 130.00 feet; thence easterly and parallel to the centerline of Mulberry Street .986.46 feet; thence southerly and parallel to the centerline of Impala Drive 130.00 feet to the point of beginning. t EXHIBIT A NOTE ORDER OF INTRODUCTION: 1 . City Engineer should report on Petitions being received. 2. City Council should refer to City Engineer the Petitions to verify sig- natures and required percentage have signed. 3. City Engineer should report to City Council that Petitions do qualify. 4. City Council should pass first Resolution referring the Petitions to the City Engineer for the purpose of preparing maps. plans, specifications, etc. 5. City Engineer should report that he has prepared the maps, plans and specifications and give the balance of his written report dated November 10, and plans and specifications should be made available to the City Council . 6. City Council should pass Resolution setting time for hearing and providing for giving notice to people to be assessed.
