HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-015-02/18/1971-AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MAKE THE NECESSARY SURVEYS AND PREPARE THE MAPS PLANS RESOLUTION 7� 5 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MAKE THE NECESSARY SURVEYS AND PREPARE THE MAPS PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ESTIMATES OF COSTS FOR A PERMANENT IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT TOGETHER WITH A SCHEDULE OF ASSESSMENTS FOR THE PROPERTY IN SAID DISTRICT FOR THE PURPOSE OF CREATING A PERMANENT IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT WHEREAS the owners of more than one (1) per cent of the property to be assessed for the same have petitioned the City Council under the provisions of Chapter 15 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Fort Collins Colorado 1958 as amended relating to local public improvements for the organization of a permanent improvement district within the property described on Exhibit A attached hereto for the purpose of installing a sanitary sewer line and WHEREAS said petitions were duly received by the City Council and duly referred to the City Engineer for the purpose of checking the same with respect to compliance withe the requirements and provisions of said Chapter 15 and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has reported that said petitions do comply with such requirements and provisions and that the owners of the required amount of property have legally and properly signed such petitions NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the City Engineer be and he hereby is authorized empowered and directed to make a complete survey of the proposed district for the purpose of preparing a map plans and specifications and an estimate of the costs of said improvements in said district and the amount to be assessed to the respective property located in said district, said district to comprise and include the lots and blocks and lands within the area described on Exhibit A attached hereto and with such assessment to be made upon all real estate in said district in proportion as the area of each piece of real estate in the district is to the area of all the real estate in the district exclusive of streets and alleys which said work when completed shall with all convenience be reported to the City Council for appropriate action for the purpose of organizing said district as provided by law and providing for the construction of the permanent improvements therein and in accordance with said plans and specifications Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this 18th day of February A D 1971 J or ATTEST City C�k 2 Description of Sanitary Sewer Improvement Di tract No 56 (1971) X Commencing at the intersection of the center line of Taft Hill Road and the center line of LaPorte Avenue thence easterly along the center line of LaPorte Avenue 180 feet thence southerly and parallel to the center line of Taft Hill Road 1161 60 feet thence westerly and parallel to the center line of LaPorte Avenue 180 feet to the center line of Taft Hill Road thence southerly along the center line of Taft Hill Road 39 9 feet thence weater.Ly and parallel to the center line of LaPorte Avenue 180 feet thence northerly and parallel to the center line of Taft Hill Road 1201 5 feet to the center line of LaPorte Avenue thence westerly along the center line of LaPorte Avenue 298+ fee to the easterly line of New Mercer Canal, thence rorthwesterly along the easterly line of the New Mercer Canal 215+ feet to a point which lies 175 feet west of the center line of Pennsylvania Avenue thence northerly anc parallel to the center line of Pennsylvania Avenue 179+ feet to a point which lies 380 8 feet north of the center line of LaDoite Averse thence easterly and parallel to the center line of LaPorte Avenue 550 feet to the center line of Taft Hill Road thence southerly along t �- cc2 er 1_ne of Taft Hill Road 380 78 feet to the point of beginning EXHIBIT A
