OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
SETTING FORTH FINDINGS OF FACTS AND CONCLUSIONS
REGARDING THE VINE-LAPORTE-TAFT ANNEXATION
WHEREAS, annexation proceedings were initiated on August 5, 1980 for
lands to be known as the Vine-LaPorte-Taft Annexation, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution after Notice given as required by law,
the City Council has held a Hearing on said Annexation
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS
Section 1 That the City Council finds and determines that the
annexation process was initiated prior to December 19, 1980 (the date when
Governor Lamm signed Amendment 3 of the November 4, 1980 County election
into law) and should therefore comply with the provisions of the Municipal
Annexation Act of 1965 (§31-12-101 through §31-12-122, inclusive)
Section 2 That the City Council finds and determines that the
proposed annexation complies tre applicable provisions of Section
31-12-104 and Section 31-12-105, C R S 1973, as amended
Section 3 That the City Council concludes that an election is
required under Section 31-12-107(2) , C R S 1973, as amended
Section 4 That subject to Section 31-12-107(2), C R S 1973, as
amended, the Vine-LaPorte-Taft Annexation is eligible for annexation to the
City of Fort Collins
Section 5 That an election pursuant to Section 31-12-112, C R S
1973, as amended, shall be held in accordance with said statutory section
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held
this 21st day of April , A D 1981
