OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DIRECT
THE PURCHASING AGENT TO PURCHASE AN ELGIN
PELICAN SWEEPER
WHEREAS, the Streets Department of the City of Fort Collins has
performed tests on several available sweepers and has concluded that the
Elgin Pelican is superior, and
WHEREAS, the Streets Department of the City of Fort Collins currently
uses two 1980 Elgin Pelican sweepers, and
WHEREAS, Section 2-60 (A) (4) of the Code of the City of Fort Collins
allows the Purchasing Agent to negotiate for the purchase of an item
based on particular individual usage or professional advice without use of
the formal bid procedure
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to direct
the Purchasing Agent to purchase one (1) 1981 Elgin Pelican sweeper from
Faris Machinery Company at a cost of Fifty Seven Thousand and Ninety Five
Dollars ($57,095 )
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 21st day of July 1981
