OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EFFECTUATE
THE PURCHASE OF A POLICE COMPUTER SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the Police Department is in need of an automated police
information system and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Department of the City has researched the
matter and found no other system to meet the Police Department' s needs,
and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to purchase this system from Simcon, Inc ,
and
WHEREAS, Section 2-60 (A) (4) of the Code of the City of Fort Collins
allows the Purchasing Agent to negotiate for the purchase of an item
based on particular individual usage or professional advice without use of
the formal bid procedure
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Council hereby approves the purchase of 1 Police
"POSSE" System from Simcon, Inc
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he hereby is,
authorized to effectuate said purchase
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 6th day of July, 1982
