OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
ADOPTING FINANCIAL POLICIES CONCERNING THE
CITY OF FORT COLLINS CONTRIBUTION TO THE
BUDGET OF THE POUDRE FIRE AUTHORITY FOR
THE YEARS 1984-1987
WHEREAS, the Council entered into an agreement with the Poudre Valley
Fire Protection District, and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins is committed to sound financial
planning to provide basic services to the City, and
WHEREAS, the Poudre Fire Authority provides fire protection services
to the City of Fort Collins, and
WHEREAS, the Council desires to provide funding to the Poudre Fire
Authority on an equitable basis in relation to other City basic services,
and
WHEREAS, the Revenue Allocation Formula has proved to be an effective
financial management mechanism for 1983, and
WHEREAS, the addition of 1 17 mills to the funding formula is consis-
tent with the purpose and philosophy of the Revenue Allocation Formula as
adopted by Council in 1983
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the following revenue allocation formula be adopted as the
City' s contribution to the Fire Authority for the years 1984-1987
REVENUE ALLOCATION FORMULA
Annual Operations and Maintenance Budget - the City will con-
tribute to the Poudre Fire Authority a sum equal to 303 of 10 of
existing Sales and Use Tax and 7 17 mills of existing property
tax from the General Fund to provide for the annual operation
and maintenance of Poudre Fire Authority (These funds are in
addition to funds contributed by Poudre Valley Fire Protection
District )
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this
4th day of October, 1983
