OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROVING AN AGREEMENT TO BE ENTERED INTO WITH
THE HUMANE SOCIETY FOR LARIMER COUNTY
WHEREAS, the City has entered into previous agreements with the
Humane Society for Larimer County for the purpose of maintaining the City's
animal shelter at the animal shelter owned and operated by the Humane
Society for Larimer County, and
WHEREAS, the City and the Humane Society wish to enter into a new
agreement for the continued provision of said services, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the proposed agreement
and wishes to approve the same
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into an agreement with the Humane Society for Larimer County for the
operation and management of the animal shelter, including the maintenance
and operation of all physical plant facilities necessary for the efficient
operation of said shelter, the provision of professional services of
a doctor of veterinary medicine and all other such necessary personnel
trained in the area of animal control , the provision of uniforms to all
animal control officers, the provision of humane and modern vehicles
for the safe transport of animals In consideration for these services,
the City of Fort Collins will pay the Humane Society the sum of ONE HUNDRED
SIX THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED SEVENTY Dollars ($106,870) in twelve monthly
installments over the term of the agreement, said agreement commencing
January 1, 1984 and terminating December 31, 1984
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City
of Fort Collins held this 20th day of December, 1983
