OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
ADOPTING THE 1983 INTERIM PAY PLAN
WHEREAS, Council has, in the past, approved a position classification
and compensation plan for municipal employees of the City of Fort Collins,
and
WHEREAS, the Administration has reviewed the City's compensation plan
and has recommended that an interim pay plan be approved which provides for
an across-the-board salary increase of two and one-half percent (2 5%) for
those classified employees of the City, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Council of the City of Fort Collins
to delay the implenentation of a 1983 pay plan based upon the principles of
employee performance, prevailing wages and internal alignment until the
City has an opportunity to examine and evaluate the 1983 economic situation
and fiscal position of the City, and
WHEREAS, it is the goal of the City Council to finalize a 1983 pay
plan within the first quarter of the 1983 fiscal year, and
WHEREAS, there is sufficient revenue budgeted and appropriated to
provide an across-the-board salary increase of two and one-half percent
(2 5%) for those classified employees of the City
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that an interim employee compensation plan submitted to the Council
by the City Manager, a copy of which is attached hereto, which provides an
across-the-board 2 5% salary increase for classified employees in said
employees' pay plan be, and the same hereby is, approved to be effective
for the pay period beginning January 3, 1983 and ending January 16, 1983,
and, be it further resolved that said interim pay plan continue until such
time as Council , by ordinance, adopts a final 1983 pay plan
