OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL
AGREEMENT WITH THE POUDRE VALLEY HOSPITAL DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins operates a communication center and
provides dispatching services to several governmental agencies in the Fort
Collins area, and
WHEREAS, the Poudre Valley Hospital District (District) provides
paramedical , EMT, and ambulance services in the Fort Collins area, all of
which require dispatching services, and
WHEREAS, consolidation of dispatching services is determined by the
Council of the City of Fort Collins to be in the best interests of the City
inasmuch as such consolidation avoids the duplication of services and
results in increased efficiency and greater coordinatoion of services among
emergency agencies
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CODUCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into
an intergovernmental agreement with the Poudre Valley Hospital District for
the purpose of providing dispatching services to said District for the
period of time from April 1 , 1983 until March 31 , 1984 with the fee paid in
four equal installments and upon such specific terms and conditions as may
be negotiated between the City and the District, said agreement to be
automatically renewed for one additional year unless expressly terminated
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 5th day of April , 1983
