OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
HONORING FORMER CONGRESSMAN JIM JOHNSON
FOR HIS CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE COMMUNITY
WHEREAS, Jim Johnson served as the Congressional Representative for
District 4 from 1973 until 1981, and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins wishes to express its gratitude for
his contributions and efforts in suoport of municipal activities and
programs while he served in the House of Representatives representing
this area, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins deems it to be
appropriate to express its thanks to Mr Johnson for his contributions to
this City and to this area during his term of office, and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins desires to officially express its
thanks to Mr Johnson by declaring one day in the montn of February, 1981
as Jim Johnson Day,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that February 21, 1981 be, and it hereby is, declared to be
JIM JOHNSON DAY
in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, and that members of the community
are hereby encouraged to observe this event in an appropriate manner
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 17th day of Feb a A D 1981
