OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
RECOGNIZING THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF THE
FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY
WHEREAS, the local organization known as the Friends of the Fort
Collins Public Library was organized in March of 1939 for the purpose of
preserving materials of local historical value, and
WHEREAS, the Fort Collins Friends of the Library is a non-profit
organization dedicated to being a source of financial aid for the Fort
Collins Public Library and providing services as an educational , economic,
charitable, labor source and advisory group for activities of the Library,
and
WHEREAS, the Friends of the Library have dedicated their organization
to community activities such as fund raising for the Fort Collins Public
Library, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins wishes to recognize
the Friends of the LiDrary for its significant contribution in furthering
the community' s awareness and utilization of the Public Library,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS, that the Friends of the Library and its members be recognized for
their community services and their contributions over the past 42 years in
furthering the activities of the Public Library
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins this 17th day of March, A/ D 1981
