PIFDGING CITY COOPERATION AND
ASSISTANCE IN THE RENOVATION OF THE
NORTHERN HOTEL
WHEREAS, the Northern Hotel is in the historic district of down-
tom Fort Collins and an integral part of the character and eoo-jauc
vitality of the downtown; and
WHEREAS, the Northern Hotel is presently for sale, and
WEBS, the Northern Hotel is a multi-use facility involving
retail shops, a restaurant, bar�isootheque and hotel rooms, and
MUMS, the recortstructio n of this facility and its upgrading
to meet current Building Codes will necessarily involve substantial con-
tacts with the City of Fort Collins and its regulatory departments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COOK. OF THE CITY OF
FORrCOLT*S that the City of Fort Collins wishes to support to the fullest
extent possible the economic revitalization of the downtown area and in
recognition of the Northern Hotel's historic cmYcributson to the downtown
area of the City of Fort Collins, does hereby pledge its fullest cooperation
and assis a to any and all parties actively engaged In the restoration
and reconstructwn of the Northern Hotel.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held
this 2nd day of May, A.D. 1978.
