OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ENTER INTO AN INTER-
GOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
6IHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins desires to sponsor a regional tour
of the Long Wharf Theatre at a cost of Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000) ,
and
WHEREAS, the National EnooAnent for the Arts, a non-profit organiza-
tion designed to promote the arts, has provided a grant to the City of Fort
Collins in the amount of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000) to offset the cost
of the tour of the Long Wharf Theatre, and
WHEREAS, while the City of Fort Collins will be the sponsor of the
tour and thus responsible for the payment to the Long Wharf Theatre, a
performance has also been scheduled for Colorado State University in the
City of Fort Collins, and tnat entity, by said Intergovernmental Agreement,
is obligating itself to pay to the City of Fort Collins the sum of Five
Thousand Dollars ($5,000), an amount equal to one-half (112) of the payment
due from the City of Fort Collins to the Long Wharf Theatre, and
WHEREAS, in the considered opinion of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins, it is in the best interest of the City in the advancement of
the performing arts that this Agreement be entered into
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized and directed
to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement with The State Board of
Agriculture of the State of Colorado under the auspices of Colorado State
University, for the purpose of sharing the cost of sponsoring a tour of the
Long Wharf Theatre
Passed and adopted at a regular meetinq of the Council of the City
