EXPRESSING THE INTENT AND AGREEMENT OF THE CIT
TO PROVIDE WATER UTILITY SERVICE TO THE ARE
LYING WITHIN BOTH THE BOUNDARIES OF THE CI Y
OF FORT COLLINS AND THE FORT COLLINS
LOVELAND WATER DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins operates for its citizens a water
utility system providing water services to p operttes within the City,
and
WHEREAS , the boundaries of the City ha v expanded in the past and will
continue to expand in the future because o the annexation of new territory
to the City which is being developed for rban purposes, and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Colli s has expanded its water utility
system in all areas which are annex d to the City and will continue to
expand its water utility system so as to provide service to all property
incorporated within the City limits, and
WHEREAS, the City has anne d certain real properties which are also
within the boundaries of the Fo t Collins-Loveland Water District
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Cou cif hereby expresses its intent and agreement
that the City provide, wi hin one year of any exclusion order that may be
entered by the District ourt in and for the County of Larimer in case No
13593, water utility se vice to that area lying both within the City limits
and within the bounda les of the Fort Collins-Loveland Water District, as
presently described n attached Exhibit A
