RESOLUTION 82-22
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
STATING THE NATURE AND LOCATION OF THE
IMPROVEMENTS TO BE MADE IN STREET IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT NO 76, THE NEED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENTS,
DESCRIBING THE AREA TO BE ASSESSED FOR THE SAME,
AND DIRECTING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO
PREPARE AND PRESENT TO THE CITY COUNCIL A REPORT
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has requested the initiation of
Street Improvement District No 76, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to continue with the formation of
said Street Improvement District No 76
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS
Section 1 That due to the opening of new businesses in this area
resulting in steadily increasing traffic flow, there is a need for improve-
ments in Horsetooth Road in this commercial area
Section 2 That the nature of the improvements to be made are as
follows
Installation of street lighting, curb, gutter, sidewalk,
storm drains and paving along Horsetooth Road from
College Avenue to New Mercer Canal
Section 3 The location of the improvements to be constructed are as
follows
That certain area bounded by Horsetooth Road from
College Avenue to New Mercer Canal
Section 4 The area to be assessed for the aforesaid improvements is
the area generally bounded by Horsetooth Road from College Avenue to New
Mercer Canal
Section 5 The Director of Public Works is hereby directed to prepare
and to present to the City Council the following
a Preliminary plans and specifications of such
improvement or improvements
b An estimate of the probable cost of such improve-
ment, including the cost of acquiring rights in

land required for the improvements, the cost of
planning, construction or otherwise acquiring the
improvements, engineering, legal and advertising
costs, interest during construction and until
assessments are made by ordinance against the
property benefitted, and other costs to be incurred
in the district
c A map of the district to be assessed for the cost
of the improvement or improvements
Section 6 A portior of the total cost of such improvements shall be
paid by the City at large and not by assessments against the property in
the district
Section 7 That said improvement district shall be known as Street
Improvement District No 76
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 2nd day of February 1982
