OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL
AGREEMENT WITH THE POUDRE VALLEY HOSPITAL DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins operates a communication center and
provides dispatching services to several governmental agencies in the Fort
Collins area, and
WHEREAS, the Poudre Valley Hospital District (District) provides
paramedical , EMT, and ambulance services in the Fort Collins area, all of
which require dispatching services, and
WHEREAS, consolidation of dispatching services is determined by the
Council of the City of Fort Collins to be in the best interests of the City
inasmuch as such consolidation avoids the duplication of services and
results in increased efficiency and greater coordination of services among
emergency agencies
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter
into an intergovernmental agreement with the Poudre Valley Hospital Dis-
trict for the purpose of providing dispatching services to said District
for the period of time from April 1, 1982 until March 31, 1983 with the fee
for said services to be charged to the District in the sum of $15,000 to be
paid in four equal installments and upon such specific terms and conditions
as may be negotiated between the City and the District, said aqreement to
be automatically renewed for one additional year unless expressly ter-
minated
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 6th day of April , A D 1982
