OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
A SALES TAX COLLECTION AGPEEMENT WITH LARIMER COUNTY
WHEREAS, Larimer County has recently enacted a one percent (17.) sales
tax to be in effect from January 1 , 1981 until December 31, 1981, and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins presently collects City sales tax
due on building materials when an application for a building permit is
made, and
WHEREAS, Larimer County has requested that the City of Fort Collins
voluntarily collect any County sales tax due on building materials at the
time application for a building permit is made to the City, and
WHEREAS, the proposed sales tax collection agreement provides for the
City to withhold five percent (5%) of the County sales tax collected as
consideration for the services rendered by the City
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, avid he hereby is, authorized to enter
into an agreement with Larimer County providing for the voluntary collec-
tion of sales tax due Larimer County on building materials
Passed and adopted at a regular meet ng of the Council f the City of
Fort Collins this 16th day of December 1980
