HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976-036-07/06/1976-WELCOMING THE REPUBLICAN CONVENTION TO THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS RESOLUTION 76-36 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS WELCOMING THE REPUBLICAN CONVENTION TO THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS WHEREAS, the State Republican Party will hold its convention for 1976 in the City of Fort Collins, such conven- tion to be convened on July 10, 1976, with other meetings and functions related to the convention scheduled for July 9, 1976, and WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that the City of Fort Collins is honored to be chosen as the site of such convention and the City Council recognizes that this convention will bring a great number of people to this City and will afford the citizens of this City an opportunity to observe the conduct of a political convention, and WHEREAS, in the opinion of the City Council, it is fitting and proper to extend to the Republican Party of the State of Colorado and to the delegates to the convention a welcome to the City of Fort Collins NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS 1 That the City Council hereby extends its welcome to the Republican Party and the delegates to the 1976 Republican Convention and 2 That the City Council hereby expresses its invitation to each party attending the Republican Convention to utilize the facilities of the City available to visitors and 3 That the City Council further extends to the Republican Party an invitation to consider the City of Fort Collins for future convention Passed and adopted at an adjourned meeting of the City Council held this 29th day of June, A D 1976 ATTEST Mayor City Clerk
